As if "Benghazi-gate" was not sufficiently horrific, in a cruel twist of fate, American-backed Islamic insurgents in Syria are now thought to be using their CIA-supplied weaponry to kill Christians.
Video footage of a November first attack posted on YouTube shows members of the "Free Syrian Army" executing 28 men that were initially claimed in French Press reports to be members of the Syrian army. However, the President of the US-based, Christian relief group, the Religious Freedom Coalition, William Murray, claims to have positively identified at least two of the victims as belonging to the Syrian counterpart of his relief ministry, a claim supported by an independent human rights activist. Murray says those executed did not have weapons, and were not members of the military. As for the identities of those in the firing squad, Murray says they fly the black flag of jihad and Al Qaeda.
A report published at wnd.com quoted "Act for America" President and Founder Brigitte Gabriel as saying it's well known that Syrian rebels are slaughtering Christians in that country. Gabriel made the further claim that the Islamists "despise the Christians living in Syria and would love to either convert them or kill them."
The new revelations are leading many to question the policies of the Obama administration which support some of the same hardline Islamic elements we have been fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan for more than a decade including Al Qaeda, Ansar Al Sharia, and the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group. Online news organizations such as WND.com and "The Blaze" have been reporting alleged links between slain U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and these militant groups devoted to the imposition of a global Islamic caliphate and Sharia law. Stevens was reportedly dining with a Turkish envoy at the CIA safe house in Benghazi, discussing plans to funnel weapons to the Syrian rebels on the night that his radical Muslim contacts had him, and three other American operatives killed.
The WND.com article reports that Stevens was a U.S. representative to the Libyan rebels before being given the title of Ambassador, following the successful coup against former dictator Moammar Khadafy and the installation of the Islamic regime that toppled him.
Apparently, the Islamists see no fault in biting the hand that arms them with rocket propelled grenades and heavier weapons. Exuberant audio messages voiced by Al Qaeda leader Ayman Al-Zawahiri claimed credit for the attacks on U.S. interests in both Benghazi and Cairo, calling them "defeats for the U.S."
These further revelations lead observers to question the wisdom of an Administration that would use American tax dollars to support the efforts of the same religious zealots responsible for the destruction of the World Trade Centers on 9-11, and the deaths of thousands of American soldiers in war zones across the Middle East for more than a decade.
Has Barack Obama finally "lost it?" Or have we, the American people been the big losers in re-electing a man who commits treason by supporting the enemies of our once proud and free nation?
