Sometimes, we find ourselves loving someone SO MUCH that, when we but think about them it causes our hearts to leap, almost like a stutter. It can be like an overwhelming flush to our faces, or even cause the same kind of "goose bumps" we get when hearing a nearly perfect performance. The mere thought of them makes our eyes glimmer, and people notice a certain glowing radiance about us. They might say, "Wow, you've been in a good mood lately. What's up?" We smile.... And we, in our joy for living within this bold love, see gold trimmings on everything. Life is beautiful. Have you been there?
Well, here is what I propose to anyone who remembers the incredibly transformative power this much love brings to the heart and soul of our condition. There is one who feels this way, and more, toward you, right now. His name is Jesus, and He is the Lamb of God. He loves you -- oh-- so much that, His eyes glimmer, His heart jumps, He is radient when He thinks of you. He sees the gold trimmings all around you. You share in His royalty. He loves you enough to die for you. Complete, selfless, all-encompassing.... This love expects nothing in return. It is given freely, no strings attached. All you have to do is believe it and it's your's! You can't have a gift if you refuse to take it, can you?
Selfless love is radical love.
Have you loved someone this much? I hope so. If not, I hope you will. There is nothing comparable to it. It adds a richness, a fullness to life found nowhere else.
Real, Radical Love. It's very cool.
